A simple one-handed snap to close! A rich black leather with brass snap and crossbody strap. Perfect for a day out. Fits a large size wallet and a few other small items such as sunglasses and keys. Comes lined with both an open pocket and a zippered pocket inside. The crossbody strap conveniently converts to a shoulder strap.

*Hides are a by-product of the meat industry. Transformation into leather is the best use for those hides, making it a sustainable material.

Where are the bags made? The bags are made at the storefront studio in downtown St. Thomas, Ontario.
Can I request customizations? Yes absolutely! Any customization is possible as I make them in-store from scratch.
What if the bag I want is out of stock? Simply reach out to me, I can send you a custom purchase link or give you info on when it will be back in stock.
When are you open? The storefront is open by appointment. Simply email info@suzannefaris.com or call/text 519-690-0424 to book. If you see my green bike out front, you are welcome to pop in.
Are the bags real leather? Yes! Leather is durable and long lasting, the perfect material for bags. The hardware is solid brass, so the colour won't chip or fade

I absolutely love the black leather snap bag! The leather is so buttery soft and the bag fits all my stuff nicely. I especially love that's it's beautifully made by a local artisan.

I have owned my black snap bag by Suzanne Faris for a year now. A year later I still love it! In fact, I love it even more. The black leather has worn very well. Actually it hasn't "worn" at all. It looks as good as the day I bought it. I am especially impressed with the hardware on the bag. They are as tight and secure as when I purchased it. The snap has not weakened at all. It still has a strong, tight "snap"! The strap is still in perfect condition. It was well worth the price.
This is a smaller bag that one could use on a regular basis if you don't need much room. I use it if I'm going out on a casual evening and want to have a lighter bag on my shoulder. The snap closure works very well and is handy for retrieving items. It does not have an outer pocket which I find inconvenient for my cell. phone. The strap is a cross body but can't be converted into a shorter length for over the shoulder use. I also find that aspect inconvenient. I think it is a bit overpriced for it's style and usage.
